Description
No. 9 Boutport Street is a house, likely built in the late 18th century. It features a front elevation of Flemish bond brick that has been painted, a gabled slate roof, and end stacks adorned with a variety of old chimney-pots. The building has a double-depth symmetrical plan and stands three storeys tall with a cellar.
The front is symmetrical with three bays and includes an eaves board. The central doorcase is framed by fluted Doric columns and topped with an open pediment. The door itself has six fielded panels and a three-pane overlight. The ground floor has segmental-arched openings leading to the cellar and tripartite sash windows, with a two-pane window in the center flanked by two-pane outer lights, all featuring horns. The second-floor outer windows are similar but lack horns and have retained their glazing bars, with a twelve-pane window in the center and four-pane outer lights. The second-floor windows mirror those on the first floor.
The interior has not been inspected but may still contain features of interest.
