Description
Cotford is a house dating from around 1820, constructed of stuccoed brick with a fishscale tile roof. It features a central-staircase plan with two rear wings and stands two storeys tall, presenting a symmetrical three-window range. The building has a top frieze and boxed eaves, with two forward breaks that include full-height canted bays. The entrance is adorned with panelled pilasters, an overlight with a bracketed lantern, and paired doors with two fielded panels. The windows are casements with margin lights, while the first floor features similar French windows. A continuous balcony on the first floor is supported by enriched brackets and has varied enriched iron panels. The returns of the building have lateral stacks, and the rear includes lower wings with lateral stacks flanking a hipped projection that has a stair window above a gabled porch. The interior has not been inspected.
