Description

The towpath bridge over the Coventry Canal, located at the entrance to the basin in Glascote, is an early 19th-century structure featuring mid 19th-century coping. It is constructed of brick and has an elliptical arch. The parapets are made of stone-coped brick piers with rounded coping, and the canal side parapet is designed to sweep down to ground level. This bridge is situated on the west side of the canal and is part of a series of bridges along the Coventry Canal.
