Description
The Bolebridge is a former house built around 1810, with later additions. It is constructed of brick with a stucco facade and features an asymmetrical slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and is designed in the Regency style. It stands three storeys tall and has a symmetrical two-window range. The ground floor exhibits channelled rustication, while giant Tuscan pilasters with dentilled capitals adorn the first and second floors, topped with a dentilled cornice and blocking course.
The entrance is round-headed, leading to an enclosed porch that also has channelled rustication and a cornice. It features a fanlight with radial glazing bars and 20th-century paired doors. The windows have sills and 16-pane sashes, with 8-pane sashes on the second floor. To the right, there is a single-storey mid-20th-century addition with late 20th-century triple sashes, and the rear includes a 20th-century addition.
Inside, the ground floor has been altered, but the room to the left contains an Adam-style fireplace with fluted pilasters, figures, swags, and a rich cornice. There is a dog-leg stair on the left side with stick balusters.
