Description
This is a barn located 15 meters north-east of Newhouse Farmhouse, dating from the 17th century but significantly rebuilt in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed stone and features a tiled roof. The front of the barn is approximately 20 meters long and has two levels. On the left side, there is a byre door, with a rounded-head casement window next to it on the right. The entrance to the threshing floor is positioned to the right of the center and has full-height boarded doors. There is also a gabled single-storey addition at the right end. At the rear, there is an elliptically-arched entrance to the threshing floor. The barn is included for its group value with the surrounding buildings.
