The gatepier, located to the west of the Church of St Michael, dates from the mid-19th century and is constructed of ashlar stone. It features stop-chamfered angles and a cornice adorned with acanthus moulding, topped with a pine finial. This gatepier forms a pair with another gatepier to the north, which is attached to the wall to the north and northwest of the church.
