Description

The gate piers located to the north-east of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels were built around 1869, likely designed by G E Street. They are made of sandstone ashlar and consist of two square piers featuring stop-chamfered corners and shallow coped buttresses, which are topped with chamfered coping. A wrought-iron lamp with scrolled feet is mounted on the left pier. These gate piers are included for their group value with the church.
