Description

The well-head, located to the west of Frosterley House, dates from around 1840. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. There are two steps leading down to the well, which is situated behind a low retaining wall. The wall features a segmental-headed arch that is rebated to accommodate a boarded door, and it has a flat stone coping on top.
