Description
The outbuildings, including a wash-house, date from around 1840 and are located north-east of Frosterley House. They are constructed from squared sandstone rubble with quoins and ashlar dressings, topped with a stone-flagged roof. The single-storey, three-bay structure faces west towards the yard behind Frosterley House. It features two boarded doors on either side of a fixed light with glazing bars, all of which are topped with flat stone lintels. A central stone chimney with a string detail is present, and a round-coped wall creates a square enclosure in front of the north end of the range.
