Description
No. 1A Church Street is a house that has been converted into a shop, dating from around 1800. It is built of brick, mostly painted, and features a tile roof with brick stacks arranged in a cross-axial layout. The building is designed in a Georgian style and has an L-shaped plan. It stands three storeys tall and has a two-window range. A cogged brick cornice runs along the top. The entrance features a doorcase with fluted pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment, leading to a glazed door. To the right, there is a round-headed entry with a flush-panelled door. The shop has a small-paned bow window with a frieze and cornice, while the upper floors have windows with sills and rubbed brick flat arches. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, and the second floor has 6-pane sash windows.
