Description
This building is a row of four shops located at 10, 12, and 16 Stafford Street, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tile roof with brick stacks. The structure stands three storeys high and has a four-window range, topped with a brick cornice.
The left end has 20th-century shop fronts at both ends. The shop window to the left of the center includes a frieze and cornice, while the entrance to the right has an altered rubbed brick cambered arch over a glazed door. The entrance and window to the right of the center also have rubbed brick cambered arches and small-paned casements.
The upper floors feature windows with sills and small-paned casements, some of which have iron opening casements. The first-floor windows have rubbed brick cambered arches, although the left end has had small casements inserted on each floor. The building has four large cross-axial stacks, one of which is truncated, while the others have been partially rebuilt. The rear of the building is similar and includes round-headed casement windows.
