Description

Two houses, built around 1770, located on Stafford Street in Stone. The houses are constructed of brick with stucco detailing, and have a slate roof with a brick stack positioned centrally. They are three storeys high, with a symmetrical facade featuring two windows on each level. A brick cornice runs along the top of the building. The doorways have doorcases characterized by fluted pilasters, a frieze, and a pediment, incorporating glazed doors. Flanking the entrances are two later shop windows with fascias. The first-floor windows have wedge-shaped lintels above six-pane sash windows. The second floor features long, workshop-style windows with small panes of glass. A single-storey wing extends from the rear. The buildings are part of a group of late 18th-century structures along Stafford Street.
