Description

The Star Lock on the Trent and Mersey Canal is a canal lock built between 1771 and 1772 by the engineer James Brindley. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a narrow design. The lock includes steps leading to a footbridge at the lower end, double lower gates, and a single upper gate, all made of timber. The lock has undergone some alterations over the years.
