Description
Lea Knowl is an early 18th-century farmhouse located in Eccleshall Offleymarsh. It is constructed of red brick with a stone base and features two storeys plus an attic. The building has quoins at the sides and a flat stone band at the first floor. There are two sash windows with single glazing bars, plain lintels, and keyblocks, while modern casement windows are found elsewhere. The entrance has a moulded wood doorcase under a plain lintel with a keyblock, leading to a six-panelled door that is blocked internally. There is also a doorway on the south side with an iron-studded ledged door. The end gables are stone-coped, and the eaves are moulded stone. The roof is tiled. Inside, the farmhouse features exposed ceiling beams and an oak splat baluster staircase, which is now painted. There is a later wing at the rear of the building.
