Description
The former mill and grain store, dating from the early 19th century, is built of red brick and stands two storeys high. It features a plain two-window front facing the road and has a simple doorway on the north side. Although disused, the building retains much of its original machinery, including a 15-foot diameter iron undershot waterwheel and two grinding pans. The grain store, which extends to the right, is constructed of brick on a stone base and is single-storeyed. It has a gabled end to the south, which includes a doorway with a moulded stone lintel (not in situ) and a semi-circular headed window above that contains small-paned iron lights.
