Description

The Cottage is a 17th-century building with later alterations. It features painted brick on a stone base, with an earlier timber frame revealed internally. The structure is two storeys high and has two iron casement windows, along with two later, possibly modern, gabled wooden dormers. The entrance is marked by a moulded wooden pilaster doorcase topped with a modern wooden gabled canopy supported by brackets. The eaves are plain, and tiles have replaced the former thatch. The Cottage also incorporates a converted outbuilding attached at the rear. Inside, there are exposed ceiling beams and a simple 18th-century turned baluster staircase.
