Description

HIGH OFFLEY 1. 2385 Portico at Batchacre (formerly listed as remains of portico?) SJ 72 NE 5/8 17.3.53. II

  1. In reality a large porch, the only surviving remains of a late C16 house within a moat. Inscribed on front "Bono Vince Malum 1584". Pairs of Ionic columns support an entablature framing round headed-arch. 3 armorial shields. Inner arch also round headed with ornament.
