Description
Batchacre Hall is an interesting and unusual house built in the 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a tiled roof with ornamental brick stacks. On the south side, the stacks rise from a stone base and are designed as clustered cylindrical shafts with brick bands at the first storey and eaves. The building has a modillion eaves cornice, a tall plain parapet, and stone stringcourses. It stands three storeys high and has sash windows that include projecting keyblocks. The cellar is made of stone and has mullioned windows. There is a later wooden trellis porch and a forestair leading to the entrance. The interior has not been inspected.
