Description

Mountneys House is a late 16th century timber-framed and plastered house, which has undergone alterations over time. It originally stood within a moat, and evidence of the moat remains. The building is L-shaped in plan, with a two-story, three-window front. The windows are 20th-century casements featuring glazing bars. A central doorway is sheltered by a simple portico supported by plain, slender columns. The roof is tiled, topped by end chimney stacks.
