Description
Great Newarks is a timber-framed and plastered house originating from the 17th century, designed in an L-shaped plan. The building has undergone significant alterations in the 19th century and later, including additions to the south and east ends. It was renovated in the 20th century. The house has two storeys and features a four-window range with casements that have glazing bars, dating from the 20th century. There is a bay window on the ground floor at the west end. The roof is tiled and hipped at both the east and west ends. A circular moat remains on the south, east, and west sides of the house.
