Description
This building is a barn, cartshed, and cow-house dating from the early 19th century, located approximately 20 yards northeast of Acton Mill Farmhouse in Acton Trussell, Bednall and Teddesley Hay. It is constructed of red brick and features dentilled eaves under a plain tile roof.
The structure has a single-storey central cowhouse with a window on the right side, flanked by gabled lofted wings. The right wing includes a ground floor double cartshed entry with a lean-to roof and a loft window above. The left wing features a triple cartshed entry, with piers on either side of the central bay that rise to create a semi-circular arch containing a lunette.
This building is included for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
