House, part of lower court of Vicars' Close, now flats and shop. Probably C17 remodelled in early to mid C18 with mid C19 top storey and alterations. Brick, the front painted, with ashlar dressings; tile roof with brick stacks. Double-depth plan. 3 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. Brick platt band over ground floor and moulded brick cornice with 2 coped gables; end brick pilasters. Entrance to each end has doorcase with panelled pilaster strips and bracketed canopy, narrow overlight to half-glazed door. Central C19 two-storey canted bay window has sill bands and top cornice and embattled parapet, segmental-headed windows with plate glass sashes; other windows are segmental headed with sills and plate glass sashes, small casement over bay; slits to gables.
