Description
A terrace of six cottages, now divided into four separate units, was built around 1830. The buildings are constructed of brick with ashlar detailing and have a tile roof with brick chimney stacks. The terrace has two storeys and an 8-window front. There are two pairs of doorways and single entrances at each end. Each doorway has a segmental-pointed head with ashlar detailing, a key stone above, and a blind tympanum. The right-hand entrance of each pair has been blocked and replaced with a casement window. The windows also have segmental-pointed heads and are predominantly 2-light casements with small panes, some with additional small-paned glazing above. The original windows are found in number 29, with some also in numbers 25 and 33. There are blind windows above the pairs of entrances. Three stacks rise from the ridge of the roof. The left-hand return has a pointed window to the attic, while the right-hand return has a segmental-headed casement. The rear elevation features segmental-headed casements, some with iron opening mechanisms. A 20th-century lean-to outshut is attached to the right end. Numbers 27 and 31 have been combined into single units.
