Description
5 and 7 Greenhill are two houses that have been converted into shops, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. They are constructed of stucco with some internal timber-framing and feature a tile roof with brick stacks. The buildings are arranged in an L-plan and are single-storey with an attic, presenting a two-window range. A top cornice runs along the structure.
No. 5 has an entrance to the right of a 19th-century shop window, which is adorned with pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, along with 6-pane fixed glazing. To the left of this entrance, No. 7 features a similar window, a glazed door, and a small window to the right. The first floor includes flat-roofed half-dormers that have 20th-century small-paned casements. There is a stack at the left end and a rear stack to the right of the apex of the gable to the rear wing. Inside, the buildings have chamfered beams, and No. 5 reveals some visible timber-framing.
