Description
Newbold Manor House is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with some minor later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a low-pitched hipped slate roof with a broad soffit and brick stacks on the hips. The building has a double depth rectangular plan, with a formal entrance at the front and a farm door at the rear. The front elevation is three stories high and has three windows set on a small plinth, with glazing bar sashes and gauged brick heads. The height of the windows is reduced in the upper storeys, featuring a configuration of 12:12:6 panes. The central entrance is adorned with a painted surround that includes an open pediment supported by half-round pilasters. The sides of the house are similar, each with two bays. Inside, there is a central dog-leg staircase with an open string and vase balusters, two per tread, leading to a stair hall with a segmental arch.
