Description
The Shayes Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof with integral end stacks. The building has an L-plan layout, with a lower kitchen range at the rear. It stands two storeys tall with an attic and has a dentilled eaves cornice. The front has three windows, which are glazing bar sashes with plain wedge lintels, and there is a blind segmental-headed opening in the center on the first floor. Late 19th century gabled eaves dormers are present on both the left and right sides. The central entrance features a pilastered doorcase with a flat hood and an 8-panel door.
