Description
This is a milepost dating from the mid to late 19th century, made of cast iron. It has a triangular shape with a chamfered top. The top face is inscribed with the word "CROXDEN." The left side displays the distances to Rocester (2 miles) and Ashbourne (10 miles), while the right side lists the distances to Hollington (1 mile), Checkley (4 miles), Upper Tean (4½ miles), and Charles Lathe & Co. in Tipton.
