Description

Madeley Park Farmhouse and attached outhouse is a farmhouse and agricultural worker’s cottage dating from circa 1840. The farmhouse is constructed of chisel-dressed ashlar with a clay tile roof, featuring ashlar integral end stacks and a ridge stack to the northeast of the centre, with octagonal shafts and crenellated caps. The building is in the Tudor Gothic style, comprising two storeys and three bays for the farmhouse to the left, and a single bay for the agricultural worker's cottage to the right. It has chamfer mullioned windows containing casements with returned hood moulds; ground floor windows have three lights, while first-floor windows have two. There are vertical panelled doors to the left, centre, and right of centre. A low lean-to extension to the right-hand gable links to an outhouse with a shaped tile roof, positioned over a small roofed yard.
