Description
The Cross House is a house built in the early 19th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from coursed dressed Hollington sandstone of ashlar quality and features a tiled roof with verge parapets. The house has an end stack on the left and a ridge stack inset from the right end. The front of the house is two storeys high and has a three plus one window arrangement. The windows are 20th-century casements. The entrance is centrally located and has a surround with a cornice, leading to a part-glazed door. There is a bay window offset to the right that has altered lintels. The Cross House is part of a close group of buildings situated around a hamlet crossroads, and it is included in the listing for its group value.
