Description
Woodhouses is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a clay tile roof. The building features a brick integral end stack and a brick off-ridge stack. The front has a pediment and is two storeys high with an attic, containing three windows that are two-light chamfer mullioned casements. There is a central quoined break with bands above the attic lunette and below the first-floor window, along with outer pilaster strips and a band over the first floor. The central entrance has a six-panelled door with a straight hood mould. Inside, there are two rooms with a staircase located opposite the front door. The west room includes an inglenook fireplace in the north wall, which has a firewindow to the north and a salt box.
