Description
Martenhill Farmhouse and the attached agricultural workers cottage are a late 18th century farmhouse and a mid-19th century cottage. They are built from coursed and squared rubble with flush ashlar quoins and dressings, topped with a clay tile roof and featuring brick integral end stacks. The farmhouse is located on the left and has two storeys with a gable-lit attic, three fairly widely spaced glazing bar sash windows, and a central partly glazed door. There is a blocked first floor window on the west gable. The agricultural worker's cottage, situated on the right, is also two storeys tall, with two casement windows and a central half-glazed door.
