Description

This is an early 19th-century coach house and stables located approximately 30 yards west of Holly Bush. The building comprises a main range running east-west, an east wing running north-south and projecting south, and attached ranges to the south, also aligned east-west. The north front features the east wing on the left, with a two-bay hipped end, attached by an open fronted link to the main block of two bays, a single bay, and then two bays. The east wing has blind, semi-circular headed arches; the left-hand arch has a door, and the right-hand arch has a door and a window above. The main block has a central pedimented break with a cupola and an oval oculus to the pediment, flanked by lower wings. A central, three-centred carriage arch employs chamfered rustication to the voussoirs and jambs, with a raised keystone. This arch leads to a central, segmental headed arch flanked by glazing bar windows. The wings have semi-circular headed carriage doors.
