Description

Holly Bush is a small country house dating from the early 19th century. The house is plastered with a hipped slate roof and plastered ridge stacks. It has two storeys, an eaves cornice, and a plain parapet. The front elevation features three windows with glazing bar sashes, the central first-floor window having a moulded architrave. An Ionic portico, hexastyle prostyle with a balustraded balcony, provides the main entrance, containing a central glazed door with a semi-circular fanlight, flanked by semi-circular headed windows. A two-storey, two-bay attached service wing is set back to the right, with a single-storey three-bay extension. The interior includes an open-well staircase with a barley-sugar twist balusters.
