Description

These are a pair of cottages on Darby Road, Coalbrookdale, dating from around the late 18th century. They are built of painted brick with a plain tile roof and gabled ends. A brick dentil eaves course runs along the top of the building. The cottages have two storeys and a three-window front. The windows are two-light casements, with small brackets supporting brick sills. Ground floor windows and doorways are topped with segmental arches, each featuring a keyblock. Number 6 has a modern glazed porch. Brick end and ridge stacks are present. There is an outhut at the rear with a catslide roof. The cottages are listed for their group value.
