Description

The 'Boy and Swan' Fountain is an elaborate cast-iron fountain dating from around 1851. It features a boy and a swan atop a circular upper basin, which is supported by a round pedestal. This pedestal is located in the center of a circular water-filled basin at ground level. The fountain was cast at Coalbrookdale for the Great Exhibition of 1851, where it originally stood in front of the gates that separate Hyde Park from Kensington Gardens.
