Description

The New School House is a brick school building, largely of mid-to-late 19th century origin, although built by the Darby family and subsequently altered. It has a plain tiled roof with gabled ends featuring ornamental bargeboards. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. Windows are two-light mullion/transom casements with glazing bars, set within segmental-headed openings. These openings have chamfered surrounds with moulded, brick rectangular dripmoulds. Brick stacks rise from the end gables.
