Description

The building at 8 Springhill, Coalbrookdale is a late 18th-century brick house. It is two storeys and has an attic, with a three-window front. The windows have segmental brick arches above them, accentuated by stone keyblocks. Two original windows retain their broad frames; the third window has been renewed. A simple doorcase with a corniced hood supported by brackets frames the four-panelled entrance door. Two gabled dormers break through the roofline, one being a replacement. The ends of the roof are coped with a gabled profile, and the eaves are ornamented with dog-tooth detailing. Iron brackets support the gutters, and the roof is tiled.
