Description
House. Built between 1851 and 1855 by Charles Lynam, as part of a private development of middle-class housing that originally comprised an estate of 24 dwellings. The property is constructed of stucco over brick, with a Welsh slate roof. It is Italianate in style, and stands two storeys high, with three bays, and paired advanced gables to the right. The right-hand gable features a canted bay window with round arched sash windows grouped as paired mullioned lights. The left-hand range also has a canted bay window with round-arched mullioned lights, and the left-hand gable incorporates a round-arched doorway on its inner face. A low tower is situated to the rear. The building has overhanging eaves and rear wall stacks.
