Description

This is a chest tomb located 3 metres south of the chancel of the Church of St Peter, dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed from ashlar and features a plain flat lid with a cornice. The sides and ends of the tomb have plain inscribed panels, and it is supported by fluted corner piers. A moulded plinth runs along the base. The tomb commemorates Frances Wainwright, who died in 1794, and Humphrey Wainwright, who died in 1804.
