Description

No. 3 Rushbury is a 17th-century house. It is timber-framed with painted rendered infill panels and a brick plinth. The roof is covered in plain tiles, and there are gable-end stacks with 20th-century brick shafts. The building has a rectangular plan and is single storey with an attic.

The street front shows restored square framing arranged in three panels. There are two 20th-century, 2-light casement windows, which were originally multi-paned but are now plain glazed. Two gabled dormers contain 2-light casement windows. A boarded door is sheltered by a tiled, gabled canopy. The left gable end is of painted rubble, partially obscured by a tiled lean-to extension. The right gable end features square framing. A 20th-century extension covers the rear of the property.

The interior was not inspected. The house forms a group with Nos. 1 and 2 and is included on the list for group value.
