11/211 Cow House approximately - 5 metres to west of Upper Panpwnton Farmhouse

GV II

Cowhouse. Late C18 or early C19. Limewashed coursed limestone rubble ground floor and end walls, weatherboarded timber framed hay loft; slate roof. 2 storeys. Boarded loft door to right and window to left; 3 boarded cow house doors to right and left-hand boarded door to internal staircase. This is a good example of a 3-door cowhouse in which cows were stalled facing each other, the centre door leading to a feed passage and the outer doors for mucking out.
