Description

This small cow house, located approximately 10 metres to the north-west of Upper Panpwnton Farmhouse, likely dates from the late 18th century or early 19th century. The building features a limewashed, coursed limestone rubble ground floor and a weatherboarded timber-framed first floor, topped with a slate roof. It consists of one framed bay and is two storeys high with a loft. On the north-west side, there are boarded doors for the first floor and loft, along with a boarded cow house door and a small window on the south-west side. A later lean-to addition is present on the south-east, constructed of coursed limestone rubble and weatherboarded timber frame, also with a slate roof, featuring two boarded doors on the south-west side. This cow house is included for its group value within a well-preserved farmstead.
