Description

The outbuilding and privy attached to the wall to the right of Manor Farmhouse is a Grade II listed structure, likely dating from around 1700, with later repairs and alterations. The outbuilding is timber framed with red brick infill and features a slate roof. It has two levels, with one rectangular panel above the girding beam. The long sides and front gable are made of purplish red brick, while the rear has been replaced with 20th-century red brick. The rear left corner has a jowled wall post. The building includes collar and tie beam end trusses with four vertical posts extending from the collar to the front gable, and V-struts at the rear. Original windows can be found below the collar beams, with the rear retaining its two mullions. There are original opposing plank doors on the long sides, along with a 20th-century stable door on the right.

The privy, attached to the front right corner, is likely from the mid-to-late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and has a monopitch slate roof with coped verges and a dentilled eaves cornice at the rear. The front features a segmental-headed doorway. Inside the outbuilding, there is a double-purlin roof with a central collar and tie beam truss, along with straight windbraces, and a loft over the front bay.
