Description
The Bakery is a house that has been converted into a house and shop, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of painted red brick, with one side rendered. The roof is covered in plain tiles and features bargeboards, along with a central brick chimney stack. The building has a rectangular plan with two gable ends facing the street.
The exterior consists of two storeys and an attic. The north-west street front showcases twin gables and includes three 2-light multi-pane casement windows with stepped hoodmoulds on the first floor. There is a single multi-pane casement window in each gable-head, a plain doorway, and a 2-light multi-pane casement window with a stepped hoodmould to the left on the ground floor. To the right, there is a 20th-century double-fronted shop, and a 20th-century two-storey extension to the left.
The interior has not been inspected. The Bakery is part of a group of buildings in Munslow and is included for its group value.
