Description

Munslow Farmhouse, now a house, largely dates to the late 17th century with 18th-century additions. It is constructed of brick with floor bands and coursed stone rubble, with hipped and gabled plain-tiled roofs. Brick gable-end stacks with profiled shafts, and two integral brick ridge stacks are present. The building has a T-shaped plan.

The street-facing right-hand wing is of red brick and contains a 18th-century sash window, with earlier windows blocked on both storeys. A later gabled brick porch has been added. The left-hand wing is 18th-century and features a projecting hipped front with a two-storey, two-window section containing multi-paned wood mullioned and transomed windows; the lower windows have brick segmental-arched lintels. The right return side has one bay of casements with brick segmental-arch lintels. The right gable end has a central projecting brick stack and a multi-pane metal casement at attic level. The left side of the house has a three-window range of multi-paned windows with brick segmental arches, and a partly glazed door with a top light.

The rear of the house includes a restored brick wing with a three-window range of 20th-century 6/6 sashes with cambered heads, a 20th-century doorcase with a flat bracketed hood and radial fanlight, and a partly glazed door. There is also a projecting gabled two-storey, three-window range of 20th-century multi-pane casements and an additional attic casement, plus two similar casements to the left return side, all with brick segmental-arch lintels.

Inside the earlier wing, some panelling remains in the upper front room. This room is hung with painted cloths, likely dating to the 17th century.
