Description
The gazebo located in the grounds of Ludlow College, to the north of High Hall, dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick and features a conical roof made of old plain tiles, with a brick stack positioned to the south. The structure is octagonal and has seven openings, two of which are blocked, all set under gauged brick flat arches. The windows are 9/9 sashes with broad glazing bars in moulded cases, and the eaves are adorned with wood mouldings and modillions. The entrance includes a three-quarter glazed door with broad glazing bars above a moulded panel.
Inside, the gazebo retains its original panelling, mouldings, and a mantel with a shouldered architrave. The ceiling is plastered and features a dome shape above a moulded wood cornice.
