Description

The town walls in Ludlow date from the 13th century and extend from a point near the Castle Walls, approximately 30 meters west of the gazebo in the grounds of Ludlow College, eastwards to the site of Linney Gate. Constructed from stone rubble on bedrock, with some brick superstructure, the walls rise to a height of approximately 5 to 10 meters and form the base of the gazebo.
