Description

The gazebo, dating from the 18th century, was formerly part of The Lawn in Swindon. It is constructed of Portland stone with brick trimmings and is set on a mound, likely covering an ice house beneath. The structure has a pyramidal felted roof and is square in shape. The south elevation features an asymmetrical blocked door, while the other sides have central sash windows with stone keystones. There is a lower blocked arch on the west side, and the eaves are adorned with brick dentils. At the top, there is a square lantern topped with a weathervane.
