Description

Redlands is a mid-19th century house constructed of Flemish brickwork, with a slate roof. The building is three storeys high and originally four bays wide, with the main entrance located in the third bay, leading to a rear staircase. A two-storey extension to the rear and a two-bay extension to the right have been added. Gable stacks are present, with three diagonal flues on the left-hand gable. The ground floor features a pair of three-panel doors. All windows on the ground floor are round-headed two-pane sashes, set within semi-circular turned brick arches. First-floor windows are twelve-pane sashes with gauged brick arches, while the second-floor windows are six-pane sashes. A wide eaves overhang is present, opened out above the windows. A further building, two bays wide and two storeys high, constructed of brick with stone side walls and a tiled roof, is connected to the main block.
