Description

This is a 17th-century barn located approximately 20 meters west of Mansion House Farmhouse in Stanton Lacy, Upper Hayton. The barn features a timber frame with weatherboarding and plank infill, set on a rubble base, topped with a steeply-pitched Welsh slate roof. It consists of three bays and is single-storey with a basement, containing various lights and entrances. Inside, there are raking strut trusses and reused ceiling joists in the basement, along with stone steps that incorporate a cider-press.
